Each year, the international Geographical Indications (GI) community gathers in Geneva for the oriGIn Expert Meeting, a flagship event addressing the latest developments and challenges shaping the GI sector. The 2026 edition will focus on four key thematic sessions (a call for contributions will be launched soon):

- GI Protection and Enforcement
- Innovative Technologies
- Promotion
Beyond high-level discussions, the Expert Meeting offers a unique platform for networking and collaboration, bringing together public authorities, producer organizations, legal experts, and private stakeholders from around the world to exchange ideas and build lasting collaborations.
