25/11/2019 – China: New official national GI logo

thumb china logoChina has gone through a process of reorganization of its intellectual property system. The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) is now the national authority in charge of GIs. On October 16, according to the principle of unifying the identification of GIs, the Office issued the new official national GIs logo:

The existing GIs logos will be abolished and the transitional period for their use is set until December 31, 2020. Specific measures concerning the new GIs logo will be separately formulated by the CNIPA.
