The “Ziama-Macenta” coffee (Guinea) is one of the first three GIs recognized in 2013 within the African Intellectual Property Organisation (OAPI). The GI recognition was the result of a collective project that involved more than 1,000 farmers in Guinea. In 2014, the “Association pour la défense du café Ziama-Macenta” (ADECAM) joined oriGIn.
To support Ziama-Macenta coffee producers to export, oriGIn participated in a crowdfunding campaign with a symbolic contribution.
