About
On 18 and 19 June, the international GI community will convene in Geneva for our 2026 Expert Meeting, oriGIn flagship dedicated to the latest developments and challenges for the sector. The event will be held at oriGIn’s headquarters, Octagon Building, 2 chemin du Pavillon, 1218.
Bringing together the representatives of GI producers’ groups, policymakers, law and technology firms, IP offices, marketing agencies, universities and controls bodies from around the world, oriGIn Expert Meeting offers a unique platform for high-level discussions, networking and collaborations.
This year’s programme is structured around four thematic sessions (legal, technology, promotion and sustainability), held across two parallel rooms. See Program below

If you are interested to be a speaker in one of the above-mentioned sessions, please write to Mr. Massimo Vittori at massimo@origin-gi.com by 30 April. Please indicate the topic of your presentation and how you intend to develop it.
Event Registration Fees
- Members (ONLY GI GROUPS): 150 CHF
- Associate members: 350 CHF
- Non Member: 500 CHF
They include registration, networking dinner on 18 June and coffee breaks during the event.

oriGIn has secured preferential rates (including breakfast and local tourist tax) at Octagon Stay, located in the same building of the Expert Meeting venue.

Transportation
Geneva offers a comprehensive and efficient public transportation system, including trams, buses, and trains, making it easy to navigate and explore the city.
For travelers arriving at Geneva International Airport, a direct train connects the airport to the city center in just a few minutes. To reach the Octagon building (event venue) the bus option is bus 5, with the Grand Saconnex Place stop situated 5 minutes away.
