In the framework of our series of webinars ‚ÄúThe oriGIn International GIs agenda‚ÄĚ a seventh online event will be held on 22 June, from 16h00 to 18h00 (CET, Geneva time).

The webinar, organized in cooperation with the ‚ÄúAsociaci√≥n Interamericana de la Propiedad Intelectual‚ÄĚ (ASIPI), will tackle three factors for the success of a GI ‚Äď the existence of a solid group with its governance, the implementation of effective controls to make sure the product‚Äôs specification is respected, and the full understanding of sustainability issues ‚Äď from the point of views of Latin America. The presentations of the representatives of the ‚ÄúSuperintendencia de Industria y Comercio‚ÄĚ (SIC) of Colombia, the ‚ÄúConsejo Regulador del Tequila‚ÄĚ (CRT), the "Confederazione Nazionale dei Consorzi volontari per la tutela delle denominazioni di origine"(FEDERDOC), the "Consejo Regulador IGPs Jijona y Turr√≥n de Alicante"¬†and the EU Commission will be followed by a debate. The webinar can be followed in Spanish and English (simultaneous interpretation).
