At the occasion of the 2025 WIPO Assemblies, WIPO organizes a side-event to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement. It will take place on July 10, 2025, in WIPO (AB Building), with the following schedule:
– 1:00-2:00 PM CET: Celebrating buffet / lunch / exhibition (Lobby/Terrace). Several oriGIn members have contributed GI products for the lunch/buffet.
– 2:00-3:00 PM CET: High-Level Panel (Room A). It will be webcasted live on the WIPO website.

The Geneva Act helps producers of Appellations of Origin (AO) and Geographical Indications (GIs) protect distinctive geographical names in multiple jurisdictions through a single registration procedure and one set of fees. It currently covers 60 jurisdictions.
oriGIn strongly supports the Geneva Act as a modern and flexible instrument, which plays a crucial role in strengthening GI protection globally for the benefit of small producers and small and medium-sized enterprises.
