On June 1, the plenary session of the European Parliament – with 603 votes in favor, 18 votes against and 8 abstentions – adopted the report of MEP Paolo De Castro on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on European Union geographical indications for wine, spirit drinks and agricultural products.
