
Each year, the international Geographical Indications (GI) community gathers in Geneva for the oriGIn Expert Meeting, a flagship event addressing the latest developments and challenges shaping the GI sector. The 2026 edition will focus on four key thematic sessions:
- GI Protection and Enforcement
- Innovative Technologies
- Sustainability
- Promotion
A call for presentations will be launched soon, along with information on registration and participation fees.
Beyond high-level discussions, the Expert Meeting offers a unique platform for networking and collaboration, bringing together public authorities, producer organizations, legal experts, and private stakeholders from around the world to exchange ideas and build lasting collaborations.

The oriGIn 2026 Expert Meeting will take place in Geneva at oriGIn’s headquarters (Octagon Building, 2 chemin du Pavillon, 1218) on 18 June (afternoon) & 19 June (morning).
